Additional Deductions and Information
EPAct 2005 is just one of many programs encouraging more energy-efficient commercial, industrial and institutional buildings. There is a broad range of financial incentives available to facility executives through utility companies, water agencies, and public and private organizations. Rebate programs, for instance, will pay a percentage of the cost of a specific technology, such as energy efficient windows, lighting, motors, etc. In many cases, the rebates are 20 to 30%. To find what financial incentives are available in your state, check with your local public utility commissions and advocacy groups.
